JetBlue announced on October 22 that starting February 1, 2027, every Mosaic member, from Mosaic 1 to Mosaic 4, gets complimentary space-available upgrades to BlueFirst, its new domestic first-class cabin, plus one companion on the same reservation. Move to Mint certificates are being renamed Premium Upgrade Certificates and will work on BlueFirst too. Here's what that actually gets you and where the catches are.

What JetBlue actually announced

Effective February 1, 2027, all four Mosaic levels get complimentary, space-available upgrades to BlueFirst on eligible fares. One traveling companion on the same reservation can come along. JetBlue Premier Cardmembers also qualify when they book eligible fares with the Premier Card. That's a real expansion: it puts the upgrade benefit in front of Mosaic 1 and 2 members, not only the people at the top.

The catch: 'space-available' and the fare exclusions

Space-available means you get the seat only if the cabin hasn't sold. JetBlue's own terms exclude Main Base and EvenMore Base fares, so the cheapest tickets don't qualify. The release also says BlueFirst may be offered only on select flights or dates, sometimes intermittently, and that additional restrictions apply. In plain English: the upgrade is only as good as the number of BlueFirst seats left over, and JetBlue hasn't published how many that will be or on which routes. Treat it as a bonus, not a plan.

Certificates get renamed and widened

Move to Mint certificates become Premium Upgrade Certificates, usable for Mint or BlueFirst where available. Mosaic 2 members can pick one through Perks You Pick. Mosaic 3 and 4 members keep receiving them, and Mosaic 4 members can earn extra certificates for every 100 additional Tiles. Certificates are the guaranteed-style option here, since the free upgrades are not, so they are worth more than the headline benefit.

Perks You Pick gets a repeat button

Members can now reselect a favorite perk at later eligible Tile milestones instead of choosing each perk only once, with 60 days after each milestone to make the selection. Mosaic 1 and 2 options include a 10,000-point bonus, a 10-Tile bonus, a 10-Tile Bonus Head Start, and a BlueHouse Lounge pass. Mosaic 3 raises that to 20,000 points and a 20-Tile bonus. Mosaic 4 offers a 30,000-point bonus and can gift Mosaic 3 status or a BlueHouse Lounge Membership. The Mosaic 4 list in the release shows no standalone Tile bonus the way the lower tiers have, and JetBlue doesn't comment on that difference.

The Premier Card sweetener

Primary Premier Cardmembers at Mosaic 3 can get up to $500 as a statement credit toward an eligible companion booking made with the card, and at Mosaic 4 up to $1,500. Mosaic 3 and 4 Premier Cardmembers also earn an additional 3x, for 5x TrueBlue points per dollar at eligible grocery stores and restaurants, on up to $50,000 of combined purchases per calendar year. Premier Cardmembers can also gift Tiles or lower-tier Mosaic status depending on level.

What we don't know yet

The release does not say any benefit is being removed or reduced, but it also points to a separate page for full eligibility requirements and terms, which is where the fine print will live. Other outlets have characterized some perks as becoming one-time or reduced; that is not something the release itself states, so we're not repeating it as fact until the terms page backs it up. Watch that page before you plan a requalification run around this.
